What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Director, the Business Integration Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and delivery of integrated front-line/first point of contact services, key financial responsibilities, compliance requirements and administrative functions to support the work of the Planning & Development Department. The Supervisor supports all divisions of the department in the delivery of services to the County through use of their business acumen and collaboration with the division Manager / Senior Policy Planner achieve and measure departmental objectives and ensure regulatory compliance requirements are met. The incumbent is responsible for the implementation, execution and maintenance of procedures, systems, initiatives, and continual process optimization.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
Three-year post-secondary diploma in Land Use Planning, Planning Technology, Legal Administration (focused on Real Estate), Public Administration, Business Administration, or a suitable equivalent of education and experience
Five years of previous work experience in a municipal environment
One year of previous supervisory and budget experience
Skills & Abilities
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
Ability to delegate and develop mutually acceptable expectations with colleagues
Ability to utilize indirect influence to accomplish goals and objectives.
Exceptional organization and record keeping skills
Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders on requirements and ensure understanding of work associated
Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting working relationships
Demonstrated ability to be fiscally responsible and suggest cost-saving measures
Highly developed understanding of planning regulations, standards, and best practices within a municipal environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
