Reporting to the Director of Planning Services and the Planner (as required), the Planning Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of municipal activities including receiving, reviewing, and processing development applications, analyze applications and ensure compliance in accordance with relevant legislation including but not limited to the District of Muskoka Official Plan, the Township’s Official Plan and Community Planning Permit By-law. The Planning Technician will be responsible for preparing and issuing Community Planning Permits, drafting public notices, providing information to the public and agencies, and assisting the Director of Planning Services and/or Planner by researching, preparing and presenting reports to the Committee of Adjustment and Council Hear
