Under the supervision of Planners, Senior Planners, Manager and/or Director, the Planner 1 is responsible for the interpretation, analysis evaluation and implementation of development applications, including the preparation of detailed reports, with recommendations to Council; providing the public, other Municipal departments and Regional and Provincial authorities with information on both general planning matters and specific applications; attending various public meetings for both general planning matters and specific applications, Council, Committee of Adjustment and other appointed Committees, Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) Hearings to provide information, make presentations, and receive input into planning initiatives; implement the goals and objectives of the City of Vaughan.
