Reporting to the Director of Planning, the Planner will be responsible for assisting the Planning Department with policy planning initiatives including, but not limited to, undertaking independent research, providing options and recommendations for land use planning policies and special studies, and supporting public consultations on policy initiatives such as Official Plan Reviews, provincial legislation updates, policy conformity exercises and County land use planning policy initiatives.  The Planner will also assist in the processing of development inquiries and formal Planning Act applications.
