Position Summary:   Reporting to the CAO, the Planner reviews and processes development applications made under the Planning Act and other legislation, and prepares and presents professional planning advice, research, reports and recommendations to the local Councils. The position is integral to advance development in conformance with the Official Plan, Zoning By-law, and Provincial Policy Statement. The position coordinates applications and correspondence seeking input from department staff and external agencies related to development applications under the Planning Act.The position will provide up to two days of planning support services per week to neighbouring municipalities through a planning services agreement.
