Under the supervision of the department Director, the Manager of Planning oversees the work of the Planning team, including everyday application processing, larger program management initiatives, and operations of the Committee of Adjustment. Responsible for a wide range of department initiatives including processing all types and complexities of Planning Act applications, as well as conducting planning policy research, analysis, and creation. Manages and provides leadership in review and analysis of complex land use planning and development issues and proposals. Key contact for applicants, landowners and the development community. Monitors, interprets and reports on legislative initiatives, changes in regulations, and policies at the Municipal, County and Provincial levels. Expected to
